Dave Foster: President and CEO of the Greater Camden Partnership since the start of the year, David Foster previously practiced law as an attorney in the Philadelphia office of Ballard Spahr, where his practice included all aspects of real estate development and investment. Foster has won rave reviews from GCP’s board since succeeding the Partnership’s first chief executive, Steve Dragos. GCP was formed in 2001 by Bishop Nicholas DiMarzo and philanthropist Lewis Katz and is acknowledged as the leading organization in the region bringing together leaders from the private, public and non-profit sectors to promote the revitalization of Camden through joint public/private ventures. Prior to practicing law, Foster was a commercial real estate development associate with the Hutchison Whampoa Property Group in Shanghai, China. He also served for four years as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division. Foster received his B.A. from Washington and Lee University and his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He also holds a Certificate in Business and Public Policy from the Wharton School. After law school, he was selected as a Henry Luce Scholar. Foster is a member of the Urban Land Institute, the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bar Associations, Downtown New Jersey, and the International Downtown Association.
